And on Christmas morning I opened the slipper box--the one I'd seen on the counter and had to hide myself. The one that Lyle made a point of wrapping right in front of me, completely stealing away every last element of surprise.....
...until I opened the slipper box and found this....
Eileen, I got a camera too. I got a Canon Powershot SX10 1S. I have to read up on what all it does still but for now I know how to point and take pictures in auto mode. Looks like you had a great night. Aidan was so excited this year he wanted to go to bed right after dinner and the opening of pajamas at 6:30 at night. I can honestly say I think it was the first time I had to force one of my kids to stay up until at least 8:30. Anyways looks like the kids put on quite a show. I especially enjoyed the sheep. I look forward to all your posts in the New Year!! Anne
I'd have to ask my Mother-in-law about the origins of the jammmie pyramid because that came from Lyle's childhood. I'm sure it was quite impressive with a family of 8kids.
The family vernacular for tidbits of food left on a plate after a meal, as in, "I'll give my scravings to Charlie," or "I CAN have dessert. This is just scravings." It seemed an appropriate word for the little morsels thrown out on our blog. Sometimes tasty, sometimes destined for the dog dish.
